Letter from the Principal
BUMBLE BEE THE PLACE TO BEE
As principal of Bumble Bee for over 38 Years this is the goal that we have achieved at our school, and we are immensely proud of our achievements. Our goal is to always give and provide an excellent service to our parents and little bees. We strive for superior standards of operation, and excellence in our provision of education.
The proof is in our previous learners and from the schools they are attending, after graduating from Bumble Bee. With our nurturing care for them the feedback is always “the best and well-educated children”. You entrust your little human in our loving hands to shape and create them for the future.
By positively influencing a child we build a better future for our Rainbow nation. We can change the destiny of the world by bringing up better future citizens who have love, compassion, and education.
We honor the work that parents do with their children and want to enhance it. We believe in being involved in their lives with love, knowledge, and positivity.
In our loving care and environment kids learn respect for their peers. Here children represent unlimited potential for the future. Being there for them in their lives with love and compassion is the most single important thing you will ever do with your life.
AT BUMBLE BEE OUR GOALS IS TO:
- Achieve superior standards of operation.
- Best Curriculum based education.
- Excellent service in all fields.
- Promote a bond of love between parents, teachers, and kids. HOME FROM HOME!

Our History
Bumble Bee Pre-Primary School (initially known as Bumble Bee Playschool) has been inexistence for over 60 years.
It was originally situated where Barclay Square now stands. Barclay Square was built in 1970, and Bumble Bee Playschool moved to Muckleneuk, one of the oldest residential areas in Pretoria, just below the UNISA main campus.
Since 1982 the School has been owned by the De Freitas family. Our playgrounds are big and shady and adjacent to us, you will find one of the oldest Jacaranda trees in Pretoria.
It is our aim to prepare our young ones for school and life.
A good foundation, concerning small and gross muscle development, while also catering for a variety of movement activities and a thorough knowledge of music.
Social and creative development as well as language and numeracy are well addressed with daily activities.
